Lufthansa launches new Amsterdam–Frankfurt–Kuala Lumpur route
From October 25, 2026, Lufthansa will launch its first nonstop service from Amsterdam, via Frankfurt, to Kuala Lumpur – marking Lufthansa Group’s first direct connection between Central Europe and Malaysia.
The new route will open faster, more convenient access to one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets, with five flights a week and seamless onward connectivity throughout the region. The route is now available for booking. comfort and more privacy. It offers spacious seating concepts, high-quality materials, and state-of-the-art technology across all travel classes. For long-haul business travel, this translates to better rest, more productive working time, and a smoother journey from departure to arrival.
As a new business gateway to Southeast Asia, Kuala Lumpur is a thriving economic hub with deep European ties. For travel agencies and corporate clients, this direct connection will simplify itinerary planning and reduce travel time – supporting business projects and strategic partnerships across Southeast Asia. A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner equipped with Lufthansa Allegris will operate on the route. The Dreamliner takes travel to a new level with passengers enjoying more flexibility. The route will operate with evening departures from Frankfurt at 21:30 hrs., arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 16:40 hrs. the following day. Return flights will depart Kuala Lumpur at 23:55 hrs., landing in Frankfurt at 06:00 hrs. the next morning. Operating days from Frankfurt are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, operating days from Kuala Lumpur are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday.
Booking opened March 4, 2026 and service will start October 25, 2026 (winter flight schedule) This direct connection will complement Lufthansa Group’s existing Southeast Asia network, offer more routing options and flexibility when planning business trips for corporate clients.
