Most environmentally friendly airline

ITA Airways has a modern fleet of 88 advanced and environmentally friendly aircraft. The Airbus A220, A330-900, A350-900, A320Neo and A321Neo are the Italian airline’s showpieces; these aircraft are designed with new materials that reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 20 to 27%. In 2024, ITA Airways will add 28 more new-generation aircraft to its fleet, which is an important element of their growth strategy, with the goal of becoming the most environmentally friendly airline in Europe by 2026.

Expansion of intercontinental network ITA Airways

ITA Airways flies three times a day between Amsterdam and Milan – Linate and twice a day between Amsterdam and Rome – Fiumicino. The Italian airline has a very extensive domestic network. They fly on 17 domestic routes to/from Rome Fiumicino and 12 domestic routes to/from Milan Linate. They also fly intercontinental to New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Algiers, Tunis, New Delhi and Tokyo, among others.

This summer, ITA Airways is further expanding its network to North America, Africa and the Middle East with non-stop flights from their hub in Rome – Fiumicino. From April we will offer flights to destinations such as Chicago, from May to Toronto and Riyadh. Accra and Kuwait City will be added in June, followed by Dakar (Senegal) in July and Jeddah in August. With several connections from Rome and excellent transfer options for travelers to and from Amsterdam.
ITA Airways offers four different classes to choose from on medium and long-haul flights: Business Class, Premium Economy (*), Comfort Economy (*) and Economy (*depending on aircraft type and route).

Volare loyalty program

Combine air and rail travel

Thanks to the agreement between ITA Airways and AccesRail, it is also possible to purchase combined air and rail travel, which allows travelers to travel to a large number of European cities and transfer effortlessly from train to plane and v.v. New Business Class Lounge

The Hangar Lounge is the new ITA Airways Business Class lounge at Rome Fiumicino. This lounge covers an area of nearly 1,000 square meters, and features 140 seats. It is a completely “Made in Italy” concept thanks to the collaboration with the most prestigious Italian brands to offer an experience of excellence.

Meals on board

ITA Airways aims to present menus on long-haul flights in Business Class that pay tribute to Italian cuisine. This combines tradition and innovation to surprise guests with new flavors while offering the feeling of “being at home.

From abroad, more traditional dishes will be served, with recipes inspired by the flavors of home, alongside lighter dishes. A “Dine anytime” service is also available.
