Finnair fleet renewals

Finnair is one of the longest operating airlines in the world, connecting more than 90 cities in Europe, America and Asia such as Bangkok, Delhi, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Phuket, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo (Narita & Haneda).

Finnair’s fleet has more than 80 aircrafts, most of which are Airbus aircraft. More than half of the long-haul fleet consists of modern Airbus A350s. The A350 has an extra-wide cabin with a low noise level, large panoramic windows, a state-of-the-art air filtration system that circulates fresh air during flight and ambient lighting inspired by the northern lights. All Finnair long-haul flights are equipped with Wi-Fi for increased passenger enjoyment and connectivity.

In 2022, Finnair launched on A330 and A350 a new Business Class cabin equipped with the new Collins Aerospace AirLoungeā„¢ seat and a new Premium Economy cabin.

The AirLoungeā„¢ is not a traditional aircraft seat but is inspired by lounge furniture. The seat is designed to maximise your comfort, space and freedom of movement during a long-haul flight. The clean lines and dark, reassuring colour scheme follow Finnair’s Scandinavian design style that is also visible in Finnair’s lounges at Helsinki airport. Catering is very well catered for and all meals are served on table linen and crockery from the well-known Finnish design houses Marimekko and Iittala.

In addition to its Business Class seats, Finnair has unveiled its brand new Premium Economy product, which will offer an attractive new travel option for its long-haul customers. Finnair’s stylish and spacious Premium Economy cabin offers a comfortable seat choice that offers around 50% more space than Economy Class. This new cabin class is located in its own intimate and dedicated cabin.
